Description

Hey everyone :D
It's :iconzhouy:, just on my new account.
For the last month or two, I've been working on recreating my take on Hylian landscape. It would have been done weeks ago, had I not moved out, and been without a computer.
Fortunately, my tax return was helpful.
Anyways.

Region #1: Lake Province
Home to the Hylian Kingdom, The Lake Province encompasses the central-north of Hyrule Proper. It’s northernmost land hosts the Zora's Domain, where the people tend the fields in the River Valley, and in the southwest, they fish some of Hyule's most prized catches.
Areas of interest: Lake Hylia, Hyrule Castletown, North fields, Zora River Valley.

Region #2: Plain Province
An arid plateau on the eastern coast of Hyrule Proper. Settled primarily by the Sheikah in their prime days, It serves as the current home of the East Goron Tribe. With a strong industry, and booming economy, The Plain Province comfortably upholds Hyrulean trade and its livelyhood.
Areas of interest: New Kakariko Village, Goron City, Death Mountian Trail, East fields, Hidden Village (Not open to public)

Region #3: Prairie Province
Though much of the Prairie Province is field and forest, A community of the Deku Uppercaste dwells deep within it’s unnavigable woods. The Sacred Grove, considered to be a place of great historical value, lies in the center of Faron Forest, and acts as capital city of the Hyrulean Deku Confederation.
Areas of interest: Sacred Grove, Faron Woods, Beastlands, South Fields.

Region #4: Valley Province
Nestled deep in the southern forest, a scenic town can be found. Ordon, the Province’s only settlement, is a thriving farming community, unparalleled in it’s beauty, and its people’s earnesty in life. They are known most prominantly for their expertise in land and animal husbandry, and their cashcrops feed nearly all of Hyrule proper.
Areas of interest: Ranching properties, Central village, Watering Creek, North Beach.

Region #5: Island Province
A collection of large islands that gather at Hylia's many coasts. Outset and Windfall were settled by Ordonian Fishermen, and are used as trading posts for the Seafarers of Hyrule. Dragon Roost, however, is the native home to the Rito, and is the world’s foremost information technology center.
Points of Interest: Historic Rito Post, Windfall Auction House, Outset Port.

Region #6: Forest Province
The long, snaking forrests that line the southern coast of Hylia. This forrest is so densely and darkly wooded, that the number of miles it stretches, let alone how many cities grow within, is incalculatable. It’s only known civilizations are the Kokiri playgrounds, and the Deku Island in its bay.
Areas of interest: Forest Haven Island, Lost woods, Fairy nests.

Region #7: Desert Province
The Gerudo Desert sits on Hyrule’s West, acting as the only traversable link between Termina and Hyrule. Though many speak ill of the desert and it’s people, The Desert Province provides an underlying law to the whole world, by way of the Arbiters. Sources of Water are few and far between, but be sure that around each well is a magnifiscent, bussling city.
Areas of Interest: Theive’s Fortress, Arbiter’s Grounds, Desert Temple, Haunted wasteland.

Region #8: Glacier Province
An Icetipped winterland in the north of Hyrule. The mountainous glacier is dotted with ruins of ancient and arctic civilizations, likely to be pre-hylian, or from Yeti Ancestry. Its detestable mapping makes crossing this land nearly impossible, so it remains home only to the Snowbeasts that can handle it.
Areas of interest: Snowpeak Manor, Yeti Slopes, Angler's Lowlands

Region #9: Mountain Province
To the west of Hyrule, a technological, industrial civilization called Termina stands. At it’s northern coast, is a Rocky, cold mountain range, where Goron have settled. A great maar bubbles and steams where the Glacier melted many years ago, which attracts Goron with its high mineral disolve.
Areas of interest: Snowhead kettle, Mountain Village, Goron City

Region #10: Canyon Province
In the Center of Hylia, an Acient canyon with a vast and dramatic history, separates the two countries. This canyon was the former home of the Ikana Kingdom, a once powerful tribe. For quite a while, it sat a barren dust heap, until Garo emigrated from their home country to restore it to the Eden it was prior to Ikana settlement.
Areas of Interest: Garo Valley, Ikana Castle, Stone Post Terminal, Boneyard

Region #11: Swamp Province
Termina’s southern swamp covers a great deal of land. A Deku tribe claims right to the marshes and Jungles. Much of the state remains unexplored, just as the forest province of the east, because its vastness and mystery leave too much chance for danger.
Areas of interest: Swampland, Deku Palace, Deku Jungle, MOAR TREEZ

Region #12: Tower Province
Clocktown stands proudly at the center of the Tower province, providing the light of technology and advancement for all of Termina. This capital city houses the Clock Tower, the most evolved, and largest time piecein all of Hylia. The Tower province is the worlds leading cultural tradecenter.
Areas of interest: Clocktown, Termina Field.

Region #13: Hill Provice
Hiding in the rolling hills of west termina is Romani Ranch- Termina’s Counterpart to Ordon. This district breeds the country’s finest heffers and bulls, for the purest of milks, and heartiest of meats. Though they do handle other crops, their efforts are focussed on livestock.
Areas of interest: Grand Stable, Racetrack, Romani Ranch, Beaver Falls

Region #14: Bay Province
The western coast of termina is inhabbited by the wonderfully diverse seafarers of termina. In the past, it was dominated by pirates under dictatorship. Fortunately, the Gerudo have come under law, and now live peacefully- if not symbiotically- with the Zora who splash about the bay. This province is often the site of concerts and festivals.
Areas of interest: Pirate keep, sandy beach, Zora Hall.

Region #15: Sea Province
The last remaining of terrestrial properties, the Sea Province makes up the part of the world that is not covered in land. These depths hold an undying mystery, and a beckon for any and all who will sail them. Islands freckle the waters, but many of them are unsettled. The capital city of the Sea Province is the Fertile Atoll, formerly the fortress of mischeivious pirates.
Areas of interest: Fertile Atoll

Region #16: Twilit Province
Several generations after the first Twili-Hyrulean contact, the Twilit Realm has worked its way through cracks in the veil between worlds. Teeming with yet discovered magics, sciences, and biologies, the Twilit Province lends its political allegiance to the lands of Hylia, and is slowly coming into the light.
Areas of Interest: Palace, Twili Marketplace, Brightwood Forest
